In 1986, Michael Kingsford, respected New York historical landmark photographer, created this Statue of Liberty collection with his iconic photo in the days before her centennial celebration — before the crowds, before the tall ships filled the harbor, before the world was watching and before they replaced the original torch.
Those images were made into prints to sell at the historic OpSail event, at the time drawing the largest crowds America had ever seen! But, life moved on, and the prints went into storage for forty years!
They have just resurfaced — all 450 of them, remarkably preserved, untouched, exactly as they were made.
This timeless edition is already nearly a half century old, having wistood the test of time. We have decided to release them in honor of The United States of America’s 250th anniversary.
